The 2014 Frog Festival is now one for the books. It was a beautiful day to be alive. Pictures taken down mainstreet showed wall-to-wall people eating meat skins, candy apples, funnel cakes, and ribs on a stick.

ENTRANCE TO THE FESTIVAL IS STATE STREET ONLY. (street between Bevil State and Sumiton Church of God off Hwy 78). THIS WILL ALSO BE THE ONLY STREET OPEN FOR YOU TO USE WHEN THE FESTIVAL IS OVER AND YOU ARE BREAKING DOWN YOUR BOOTHS.
THE BOOTH NUMBERS WILL BE ASSIGNED THE WEEK OF THE FESTIVAL AND POSTED ON THE WEB SITE.
FrogFest organizers ordered up a picture perfect day for this year's Frog Festival.
"At one point I stood in the middle of Main Street and looked in both directions and all you could see were smiling faces," said Jilda Watson. "There must have been eight thousand people there."
There were rides for the kids, great food, great crafts, and other neat stuff. It seemed like every other kid you saw carried a plastic container with a live frog, turtle or other exotic pet.
